About Ian Russell

Ian Russell is a high school sophomore at the Innovation Academy in Fulton County graduating in 2027. Ian is an excellent academic student and leader with an entrepreneurial spirit. Outside of the classroom, Ian has been a coding coach at TheCoderSchool of Johns Creek, Georgia. 

Ian has a dedicated interest in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT device/software repair, and Computer Engineering. In his 3 years of working for TheCoderSchool Ian has taught Scratch Coding, Web-Design, White Hat Hacking, 3D Modeling, 3D Design, and Arduino.

Ian’s passion for technology and engineering has existed since a very young age and he spends his free time learning as much as he can in hobbies such as PCB Design, Homelabbing, Go Kart building, Microcontroller Coding for Automations, Self-Hosting, and Computer Networking. He has been involved in multiple clubs and achievements such as Beta Club, CyberPatriot, Drone Club, Hack for Impact, Cteen, and is CPR Certified. Ian volunteers his time in senior assisted living homes teaching the elderly how to use technology to improve their daily living.

Ian’s goals are to learn as much as possible about the Cybersecurity and Electrical Engineering fields and how they relate to each other. He wants to connect them in a meaningful way that would benefit the majority of people on the internet.
